Waiter/Waitress – The Engine Room Restaurant, Poundbury Gardens 

This front of house role will include serving food and drink, barista work and operating the till, as well and general cleaning and helping with the day-to-day running of the restaurant.

Excellent customer service skills are a must and experience is preferred, but not essential.

This is a permanent, full-time role. Hours will vary, but will include weekend work.

Hardy Plant Assistant – Castle Gardens

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Hardy Plant Assistant. We are looking for someone with a good knowledge of plants, excellent customer service and an exceptional eye for detail.

You will join our fantastic Castle Gardens team and will primarily be based with the hardy plants team, restocking, serving customers and keeping our outside space looking good. Like all good gardeners, we work to the seasons and when the focus of our year turns to the inside, you will have the opportunity to work within our award winning Christmas displays, contributing to some of our famous Christmas cheer!

The successful candidate will be passionate about plants, whether professionally or as a keen amateur. Training will be provided but a can-do attitude is a must!

This is a permanent, part-time role, working 33.5 hours per week, including some weekend work.

Weekend Hardy Plant Assistant – Castle Gardens

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our weekend team in the hardy plants department. This position would ideally suit someone already studying in horticulture, looking for employment to compliment their learning. Alternatively, you may just have a keen knowledge of plants and excellent customer service skills!

This is a permanent, part-time role. Working hours will be Sunday from 10am-4.45pm.

Delivery Driver

We are looking for a new friendly face to join our delivery team. Your office will be the scenic roads of the South West, as you deliver orders to our valued customers. Applicants need to have a full, clean driving licence and must be happy to lift compost, trees and much more, as no two days are the same in this role.

This is a permanent, full-time role. Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

Front of House – The Apple Tree Restaurant, Brimsmore Gardens

A new opportunity has arisen to join our front of house team at The Apple Tree Restaurant, which will include looking after diners, serving food and drink and taking payments. Training will be provided.

This is a permanent, part-time role. Working hours will be Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 10am-4:30pm.

An entry level role has arisen at The Apple Tree Restaurant, which will involve clearing tables and washing up duties, as well as serving tables when required.

This is a permanent, part-time role. Working hours will be Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 10am-4:30pm.

Garden Centre Dry Goods Shop Manager – Brimsmore Gardens

A new position has arisen at our award-winning garden centre on the outskirts of Yeovil, overseeing the dry goods department at Brimsmore Gardens. The Dry Goods Shop Manager role will include responsibility for ordering a wide range of dry goods and related products to support a plant-oriented garden centre, as well as managing those in the department and working closely with others across the garden centre as a whole.

The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong product knowledge and a background in retail. Extensive horticultural knowledge would also be useful.

This is a permanent, full-time role. Salary depending on experience.

Houseplant Assistant – Castle Gardens

We are looking for a new team member to join us as part of our growing houseplant department in Sherborne. With houseplants as trendy as ever, we need someone with a passion for an indoor jungle! You will help with the day-to-day running of the department and be involved in selecting our exciting range of both plants and sundries, whilst offering help and advice to our customers.

Experience is preferred but not necessary, a can-do attitude and passion for indoor plants is more important as full training will be given.

This is a permanent, part-time role, which will include some weekend work.
